Reasons I love October...

   

Pumpkin Patch with the fam.   It was a perfect day for it, and the kids were in heaven.  Mmmmmm, I love pumpkin patches.

All three cousins are going to be Ladybugs for Halloween!  So we had to dress them up to get pictures.  Too cute!

And last but not least, Jaxon and Emily were piling these leaves up and jumping in.  It was all their own idea and they were loving it.  Does it get any better than sunny fall days?  I don't think so.

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

My sweet Jaxon turned four years old today, and boy did we party.  He's been looking forward to this day for at least a month, and I don't think it was a disappointment. 

We'll start with the cake....I feel just so-so about it, so I won't say much.  But Jaxon liked it.

                   

The party was AWESOME!  We were the Decepticons, and had to defeat the Autobots and get to the Allspark before they did.  It included 4 separate missions, tackling Bumblebee (Rick), a treasure hunt, water balloons, covering Optimus Prime with ice, and so much more.  The kids loved it.  Jaxon especially.  And I'm pretty sure the adults had a good time to!  And yes, we were the bad guys.  Jaxon was insistent. 

Jaxon was very focused on his new Transformer toys after the party.  I don't think I'll see him much for the next few days.  He got 6 new Transformers.  Score! 

Every year I take picture of Jaxon in the leaves on his birthday, so I had to do it again.  He's my sweet boy.

And here's to new traditions!   I don't know who of you read the Nienie Dialogs, but she has inspired me in so many ways.  One of which is starting a new tradition of sending Jaxon's birthday wishes into the sky on balloons.  I love it.  

I hope all your wishes come true!

Sweet Afternoon

Today I made precisely 100 Rice Krispy Treats during nap time whilst listening to Eva Cassidy and Sarah Bareilles.

They will be used to feed hard working Primary kids, and teachers of course.

It was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon!

I ended up bringing her to bed with me around midnight.  Not for her sake, but for mine!

Why do they grow so fast?

COUSINS

It has been the greatest experience living near my sisters these past two years.  I remember when Jake wasn't sure where he would get accepted to Dental school, Heidi and I would talk forever on the phone about how much fun it would be to live close to each other.  Family dinners, free babysitters, lots of treats, game nights, the works!  And it has been better than we could have dreamed up.  One of my favorite parts is that Jaxon and Sage have cousins so close that they get to play with and love.  And I have loved being a big part of my nephew and nieces life.  I remember being best friends with my cousins when I was a kid, and I also remember the deep love I had, and still have, for my Aunts.  I'm thrilled that I get to give the same experience to my children.  I am grateful for Heavenly Fathers plan of eternal families, because I couldn't imagine living for eternity without these kiddos hanging around.

This was my day long project yesterday, and I loved every minute of it.  Okay, I guess I didn't love cleaning up the mess.

What is she thinking?

Here I am at the computer. This picture was taken without my knowledge, and it proves a point that I've long known was true, but haven't had any evidence. I was not mad at this moment, or sad, or upset, or feeling low, or depressed, or feeling any negative feelings at all. I was probably enjoying someone's blog and was actually quite content! This, my friends, is my resting face. Nothing more, nothing less. So if you ever see my starting off in a crowded place, don't think of me as a mean spirit, I'm not! It's gotten me into some problems in the past, so I just wanted to clear it up here! So don't be afraid to approach. Underneath that scowl, I can be a pretty nice person, I promise! : )
