Sometimes I just need a change

and it only took a mere 10 minutes. 

I realize I look way happier in the before picture, but that is not a reflection of how I feel about the hair color.  At least I don't think it is, but who knows what my subconscious is up to half the time.

Yes, another cake

My little niece had her 5th birthday party last week, and I got to make the cake!  She had a pirate party and I wasn't sure how I would make a treasure chest, but it turned out pretty good!  It's been awhile since I've made a cake, and it reminded me that I love it!  Sooooo, you call me the next time you need one!

Grandma put some of Mya's new makeup on Sage and she loved it.  I couldn't stop laughing as she got pampered.  She just knew that she was the prettiest thing in the room, and let's face it, she was!

And this was my favorite picture from the party.  I know I'm her mom, but she has got to be the most beautiful baby girl ever!

Easter Bunny

I love Easter. I mean, I really love Easter. When I was a little girl I had a slight obsession with bunnies. All things bunnies. Stuffed, figurines, stickers, toys...you name it, I wanted it. At one point I had somewhere around 80 bunnies in my collection

Well, every year on Easter I would get a big fluffy stuffed bunny. There's nothing quite like hugging a brand new soft bunny as tight as you can, nestling it right up to your neck. Ahhhhh, I can feel it now. So you can imagine the joy I felt as my little girl hugged her brand new stuffed bunny close to her neck, and hasn't let go of it since. Thanks for bringing the magic back Sagie.

Happy Easter

Benefit Concert

I told my sister the other day, "there are only a handful of people in the world who will drop everything in their life to go to Africa to teach school for a year.  They need you!"

 

In September she will be leaving everything in her life to do just that.   But she needs your help!  Tomorrow night, Friday the 3rd, there will be a Benefit Concert to help raise money for her to buy curriculum, pay teachers, and basically give these orphaned children an education.  The tickets are $10 a person, and all of it goes to help these sweet brothers and sisters of ours.  PLEASE, if you live in the Portland area, come to this concert and learn how you are helping these children.  Bring your family and neighbors and strangers, and enjoy a night of great music and do your part to help change the world.
