After at least 24 hours of airports and planes trying to get home, there's just one thing I have to say

I'll be home for Christmas, you can count on me

Please have snow

038

And mistletoe

039

And presents under the tree

041

Christmas Eve will find me, where the love light beams

I'll be home for Christmas, not only in my dreams!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Box

My life is richly blessed.  It seems each year at Christmastime something happens that makes me realize how grateful I am for the life I have.  This year it came in a box.

My dearest friend Maegan sent me a quilt for Christmas!  It was made with her hands and the fabric was exactly my style, and she knows me, so she knew that.  What she didn't know was that I have been wanting a blanket for my living room to cuddle under with my hubby while watching Mamma Mia, or my kiddos while reading bedtime books.

It is perfect.

Thank you my dear Maegan friend.  Your made my holiday.

Last year I had Heidi's kids over for a pizza and movie night, and we've decided to make it an annual tradition.  This year we watched a classic, The Muppets Christmas Carol.  I had the pleasure of Sagie and Holly joining us as well.005               I couldn't stop smiling seeing all six of those kiddos smashed onto one air mattress.  008      Holly especially seemed to fit a little tight! : )  007

Once again, it was a fun night....and I'll make sure we pick another great movie for next year.

Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree early this year.  Usually it's been a big production for us, but this year we just drove up the hill by our house, spent $10, and had us a tree!  It was fun and spontaneous, and I have loved having a tree all month.010 013

Then I made a cake for Jessica's birthday.....

And then we decorated the tree030

Sure, this time of the year is busy....but I LOVE all of it.  Yesterday I made treats all day long.  Today I am getting ready for a Primary Christmas party and singing in a Christmas concert.  Next week I get to go to SLC to have a girls night out with my very best friends, I have to do Christmas shopping, sing in church, plan a Primary nativity, and lot's more, and I am looking forward to it all!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Things to blog about

047 A few weekends ago we took a trip to good ol' Blackfoot Idaho to attend Jarom's wedding.  It was so fun having all of the Christensen family in the temple together.  We are so happy for Jarom and Tara, and can't wait to spend a lot of time hanging out with them once we get to Montana.    He didn't give us much time to get to know her before the wedding, so we have some catching up to do! : ) Here are some of my favorite pictures of the beautiful day.

Hum.....what happened after that?  Sage got pink eye which tuned into a huge scratch on her cornea.  That lead to a whole ton of crying, which in turn lead to a trip to the E.R and an entire day of Sage hanging out under her blanket without ever once opening her eyes.  Very sad.  She's a happy camper now, and all is well, but it was touch a go for a while there.

Next I saw Twilight with a whole ton of great girls, and that was fun.  I didn't like the movie at all, but it was still a great night.

Then came Thanksgiving....

John, Mirm and the fam decided to drive all the way from Utah to hang out with us, and we were thrilled!  The day started with a breakfast of french toast and a few pictures.

Next came the well known, and well loved Turkey Trot 50 meter dash and 5k.  Good fun for everyone!  I won 1st in my age category (I was the only one in my age categorie) and Jaxon won the coveted first place spot in the 50 yard dash!  He was my super star!

Thanks to Robin for the great morning.  Heaven knows I needed the exercise that day.

The rest of the day I spent working on my turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and jello.  I was excited to learn how to make a Thanksgiving dinner this year.  You're all invited to my place in a few years.  My turkey was DELISH!

The dinner was amazing, the company was great, and the air hockey tournament was a bust.  How on earth did Heidi win?

I am Thankful for my LIFE!  It is wonderful, and full, and crazy, and I love every person in it.  And now, bring on all the Christmas craze!  I love this time of year!!!

Stories of Zambia

I know I've mentioned before that my two sisters spent a part of their summer in Africa, and now I want you to be able to hear a little more about it.  Heidi has compiled all her blog posts about Africa, and you can read them all at www.brunofam.blogspot.com.  These stories are life changing, and are important for everyone to hear.  So if you have a minute, stop by her blog and learn about our brothers and sisters in Zambia.

You can also visit Heathers blog at www.hedrad.blogspot.com for her experiences

Run for Darfur

Heidi asked me last week if I wanted to run a 5k for a country in need in Africa. Well, I love all things Africa and said yes! Regardless of the fact that I've only run 3 time in the past month, and Heidi runs 8 minute miles almost every morning. The morning of the race came and it was cold and raining, but off we went. The race was small and fun, and I did my best to keep up with Heidi for the first minute or so, but then my legs just wouldn't keep up. Try as I may, I could not get my body to move fast enough to stay up with her. So I thought to myself "good riddance!" and slowed way down and enjoyed myself a nice little 3 mile run. I don't know my time, so don't ask, but it was slow. I was just thrilled to have run in it. So after the race we were waiting around for the announcement of the winners, because Heidi has a hunch that she may have placed in the top 3 in her age group. Well, sure enough they start to read the winners and she's not called 3rd, and then she's not called 2nd, and then I heard it, "and in 1st place, Heidi B.!!!!! AHHHH! To say I was thrilled is an understatement. As she walked up to receive her fancy dollar store blue ribbon I yelled, "THAT'S MY SISTER!!!!" She was thoroughly embarrassed, and I was feeling on top of the world, like I was the one that had just one 1st place and not 101st. It was a fun morning to be sure! 118

Reasons I love October...

003 001 011 015

Pumpkin Patch with the fam.   It was a perfect day for it, and the kids were in heaven.  Mmmmmm, I love pumpkin patches.

025

All three cousins are going to be Ladybugs for Halloween!  So we had to dress them up to get pictures.  Too cute!

And last but not least, Jaxon and Emily were piling these leaves up and jumping in.  It was all their own idea and they were loving it.  Does it get any better than sunny fall days?  I don't think so.
