Green Lantern and Batgirl

Jake is an amazing dad. Both of our kids like him better than me. He's the one who will entertain Jaxon with batman stories all night, he's the one who will chase Sage around all night. He's just a super cool dad. Well, Saturday set this fact in stone. When I got home from Cross Country Skiing, I noticed that Jaxon was wearing a green and black shirt, so I asked him "are you the Green Lantern today?" Jake then proceeded to dress him in his Green Lantern costume made entierly from construction paper and tape. So FUN! Notice the ring. Very important to have a ring if you are the Green Lantern.
But then he came out with the best part. Sage was then dressed in her own little Batgirl costume. I was speechless. It was so cute, and so fun and I was almost jealous of my kids that they were blessed with such an awesome dad.
Thanks Jake! I love you!

Thats so fun! I have the same issue...not even close to as cool as dad! It's just not possible. We're the mean ones! Mean. We inforce all the rules and stuff like that...plus we clean and make food....BORING! One day...in the next life, I'm going to be so much fun they can hardly stand it!

Cool dads are the best. I am so glad they had so much fun while you were gone. Now if only we could be as creative?!

That's fantastic. Jake is super cool. The costumes are so good! I don't have those kinds of artistic skills, so that's an extra plus for Jake. I like the new look of your blog.

It really doesn't get better than that, spending a fun day with friends to coming home to a husband playing super heroes with you kids. Awesome! Brownie points for Jake. What a great guy.
